| Meet Matt Wilson |
BACKGROUND
Matt was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where, in 2001 he received a BA in English. He went on to attend Creighton University's School of Law, graduating in 2004 with a Juris Doctorate. While at Creighton he also received a Certification in Conflict Resolution.
Matt relocated to Kirksville with his wife and family in the fall of 2004. He and his wife Andrea now have three children and have fallen in love with Northeast Missouri and all that it has to offer.
COMMUNITY/PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
Matt has always felt that it is important for everyone to be active in the community. He and his wife coached youth select softball for nearly 10 years while living in Omaha. Matt was involved in the formation of a youth softball program for girls in South Omaha. Matt spent several summers volunteering with the American Legion's Boys State Program as a counselor. More recently, Matt was given the opportunity to coach the Kirksville High School Boys Freshman Basketball Team.
Matt is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his family are very active in their congregation. Matt is a member of the Missouri Bar Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) a well as the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA). He currently is the Vice-President of the Adair County Bar Association.
